Hi, Well although I haven't encountered the exact same error again as before I have major GUI problems if I build and run Rosegarden with QT4 4.8 and no GUI issues if I build with older QT4 4.6. It's important to note that I am using Debian Stable and was using the QT4 libs from Testing so QT4 4.8 might be totally fine with Rosegarden on Testing or Unstable. I still believe the previous issue with Rosegarden dying after the splash screen was also related to QT4 4.8 since that was the only variable that changed and it now launches fine when built against the older libs.
