Would you be more comfortable with a tool that untied just the selected
notes? Like, it untied that one note and conformed the immediate forward
and backward notes and left everything else as it was?
That way it would never be the case that a series of ties was partially
selected, so those problems wouldn't happen, and I could still edit long
ties without spilling so many notes and having to gather them all together
again.
I'm willing to rip out the stuff I coded and redo it if there's a better way.
