Last time around, and maybe the time before that, some people were updating the next_version page after I had already forked it into the 13.06 page, and other people were updating the 13.06 page. I ended up having to fish things out here and fold them together over there to get it all put together correctly.
We're starting down the same road again, except apparently backwards. I evidently already forked off a 13.08 page in some moment of optimism, but there was nothing there, and nothing on next_version either. I fixed a bug the other day, and I updated next_version out of habit. I just went in to move my bit from next_version to the 13.08 page, but the page was locked. I ended up reverting it for now, and I'll have to remember to sort it out later. It's great that other people are posting their own updates to these things, but it's getting to be a pain in the ass keeping up with what from where. I never put any thought into how this should work, officially, and I know there is absolutely no guidance out there. I'm not bitching, and nobody should feel bad. We should codify some guidance and all get on the same page though. I don't have time to deal with that just at the moment, however. So as of now, let's all get on the page where we're going to post release note updates to the 13.08 page. It looks like I'm the only one who needs catching up on that front, so it should be fine. Next go round, we'll have an actual plan. -- D.
