Yeah. I was thinking of something like a "legato quantization" where a legato percent could be selected. 100% would have the endings precisely on (or one pulse before) the next note. 80% would leave a 20% gap. Percentages greater than 100% would give the overlap that Tim was talking about. It's not really related to what you're working on.
