Thanks for this. > 5. But it was really sensitive to window size. The best setup seemed to be with the window sized to show 16 tracks. Slightly smaller so that maybe a pixel or so of the bottom of track 16 is cut off. Select track 17, scroll up with the wheel so it is hidden and track 1 is shown. Begin deleting with Ctrl-D. Trash appears on the second delete. It looks like it is related to the moment that the vertical scrollbar disappears. That causes a shift and some confusion which messes up the update. I was also able to get something similar to happen with 14.12 with the right window height. When I had the height set so that just a few pixels of the top of 16 were visible, then select track 17, scroll up to track 1, Ctrl-D (note that the canvas scrolls up a little), Ctrl-D (note that the vertical scrollbar goes away and the canvas scrolls down a little), there's now garbage on top of track 15. Common to both of these situations is the vertical scroll bar going away causing an automatic scrolling of the tracks vertically to make sure they are all visible. It's like the refresh is done for the wrong part since it isn't where it thinks it is. Window height appears to be the key to reproducing this. How big was the window when you tested this? Was it big enough to show all tracks? > repeated all this with 14.12 and observed the same blue selection > rectangle. Especially with all the bright grays in the area.
