I don't know what a MIDI sequencer output would do with an acciaccatura. It can't play it if it's zero duration. Is it going to part of a "chord" (instrument-dependent I guess) but only last a v. short time, and is the resulting grace note going to start before the beat? Appoggiaturas are enough of a minefield, but at least they have an actual duration.
