Thanks @keszybz for the detailed and thoughtful comments, that's very much my
sentiments too: sanity dictates there can be only one buildtime for any given
build. Anything else is gaming the system - like I said in my first comment,
trying to eat and keep the cake. A test-build is a straightforward, reliable
and easy to understand way to deal with avoiding unnecessary updates. It's not
*free* of course but nothing is.
