Building a mechanical Refer has been a project I have wanted to do for many
years. Many years ago, I started a R-40-30 class. I had the sides done with the
rivit detail. Never finished it.
I would be willing to build a refer and make resin copies. I want some for
myself so I can make some for others. I would build a refer, make copies, and
if you like it, you could buy them. I don't want any money until I have a
finished product you all like.
I would like an idea of how many people would like one, and no one will be
obligated to buy one when I have it done.I know I can produce a quality
product. I have made many truck bodies and a couple of semi trailers.
I have some info on mech refers. I have the Apr 1967 MR that has plans for
the R-40-30 (rivit sides) and the R-70-12 (outside braced). I also have the
Amity Star kit. I would like to know what you would like built. I also want to
know any other info, such as correct ends ect. I could not start this project
unitl into Dec. I have a couple of other projects to finish. I would try to
make the body one casting, with the floor being a seprate piece.
Contact me off line at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you are interested and can give
me some help with plans, pictures ect.
