There has been some talk about reefer iceing in the past. I found another picture of a truck used to ice reefers. This truck could only be used to ice reefers. The picture shows how it is used. Just the front half goes up. This ad is from 1951. The truck is a Mack LF, made from about the 1940's to early 1950's. The reefer car in back of the truck is PFE, the other one is Northwestern. With trucks like this, your don't need to use real estate for an iceing platform.
