Hello,
Sending mail as an alert is something that has been in Servers Alive since day 1. And each release added some new features for it. We are now at the point of a full re-write of the mail sender and therefore it's important for us to know what features are missing (of the mail sender) and what features are in it but no longer needed. What is missing, is something you will have to tell me.. I can however tell you what will be done (100% sure) * Support for TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 - based on what the operating can do -> this means that for example for TLS 1.3 currently it will be limited to the private Win10 preview, and Windows 2022 * oAuth (oAuthBearer and xOauth2 ) authentication * Authentication using SCRAM-SHA-512, SCRAM-SHA-256, SCRAM-SHA-1,DIGEST-MD5 and NTLM (and the authentication "type" will no longer have to be selected, we will negotiate it with the mail server) For the "obsolete" features I think I have a good view on it, but want to be sure, so if there is something that we would like to remove and you still use it, please let me know: * Direct send * DUN (dial-up network) before the actual mail sending * POP3 authentication (used before using SMTP to send mail) Dirk.
