Ah - this isn't useful I'm afraid, but there is something interesting here - why is smbd using threads ? You do know it's not thread safe... I'm afraid you'll need to set a breakpoint on smbldap_search and then single step until the thing exits to see what it's doing. How are you building smbd - it shouldn't be linked to pthreads.
