sarvebhyo namaH

Thank you Sai, for your kind words.

It is wonderful to see that many of your eager to participate in
Sanskrit discussions again.

After seeing some of the emails today, I am writing a short note to
assure members that the current list will continue. There is no reason
to request continued subscription. All your subscriptions are active,
and will continue to be so.

I wanted to bring to your notice an example of how your email's delivery to
the list gets delayed, and how unnecessary work gets created for
moderators. Suppose you get a sanskrit email digest like below. You hit
the reply button and include the entire digest in your reply (like the
person did below). The message size will bloat beyond 40KB, which is
the limit for email sizes on this list.

Your email gets flagged for administrator approval. It not only delays
your message reaching others, it creates work for the
list maintainers and also adds space overheads on the servers etc. If
the admin is a lazy person like me, he/she won't process that immediately,
and your email languishes in the queue for weeks waiting for moderator
approval.

So, when replying to the list, please only include that portion of the
incoming mail to which you're responding, and delete the rest. We can
increase the message size cutoff limit beyond 40KB, but please do your part in
reducing burden on the admins and help them enjoy Sanskrit discussions.
- Sai.

I do not know who is the administrator or moderator. When folks send replies do
send it to all the members. It clutters our mail oxes. Can you send it only the
intended participants. If we want see the activities, is there a site where I
could see them instead of getting mails from evey body.
Ramani
