The TU Dresden, Faculty of Computer Science, ,Chair of
Bioinformatics at the BIOTEC is looking for 

           5 PhD students / Postdoctoral Researchers
                                
funded as part of four EU/BMBF financed projects.
The researcher will develop and apply techniques of the following
domains: Ontologies and text-mining for gene, disease, drug
relationships; Algorithms for protein interaction networks and
systems biology; Modelling of protein complexes and identification
of motifs from structure 
to the following applications: Identification of Parkinson disease
genes; Prediction of outcome in cancer; Understanding
chemoresistance in cancer. 
Data to be processed will comprise gene expression, RNA
interference, protein networks and atomic force microscopy data. 
Applicants are required to have a university degree or PhD in
Bioinformatics, Computing, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering,
Physics, Medicine, or related. Candidates should have a good spoken
and written English. PostDoc candidates should have a sound record
of peer-reviewed scientific publications. 
Terms: Salary E 13 TV-L  in accordance with the applicant's
qualifications and experience. The positions are initially limited
to one year with possibility to extend up to 3 years. The period of
employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act
(Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG).
