We are a member of the Helmholtz German Research Community, a leading 
association Europe-wide, focusing on "Environmental Health".

The aim of our research is to proactively detect health risks for both humans 
and the environment, decoding the mechanisms of pathogenesis and developing 
concepts for prevention and therapy of diseases.

The Institute of Experimental Genetics is looking for a

PhD Student - DIABETES m/f (D25/2009) 

Job Description
- Gene expression studies in mouse models of diabetes
- Systems biology approach to analyze gene expression data
- Identification of new genes associated with the disease
- Generation of new mouse models
- Phenotypic analysis of diabetes models 

Your Qualifications
- Master degree in a life science topic (biology, biotechnology or similar)
- Interest to work with animal models (mouse)
- Openness and willingness to learn new technologies
- Team oriented and excellent communication skills
