I have the same combination. I ran into some trouble with previous versions with speed negotiation. I dug up some info on the mailing list archives regarding this and dug into the driver a bit. Apparently, at least with the Cyberflex, the card responds with its maximum speed and the Gemplus driver interprets this as the requested speed. I put together a patch that ignored this request from the Cyberflex, but it may break other things like your Gemplus cards. I'll have to dig it up, but it worked for me. I'll try and find it and send it to you. It's for the old gemplus 410 driver. I looked through the newer gemplus driver and I'm not sure if it's fixed there because I'm having general problems at the moment with my 410 reader and getting it hooked up.
