Hi Steve. "Auld Rattray" was composed by Jim Watson, whose most
well-known composition is the Strathspey "Sidlaw Hills". Both were
published in 'Ian Powrie's Selection of Scottish Country Dance Tunes'
(no date, but I'd guess early 1950s). I always imagined it to be a
