Dear guys,
I just setup the scratchbox on Redhat AS 5 to build the Xfree86 for ARM11;
It seems scratchbox shall setup in root and login in shall be one user;
After building the system with user, every thing is ok on /usr/local/X11R6
incluing the libs, head files and Xfbdev;
[sbox-ARMuclib: /usr/local/X11R6/bin] > file Xfbdev
Xfbdev: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, ARM, version 1 (ARM), dynamically linked
(uses shared libs), not stripped
That is what we expected;
Then run the program:
[sbox-ARMuclib: /usr/local/X11R6/bin] > ./Xfbdev
Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again.
[sbox-ARMuclib: /usr/local/X11R6/bin] > rm -fr /tmp/.X0-lock
Run the program again:
[sbox-ARMuclib: /usr/local/X11R6/bin] > ./Xfbdev
Fatal server error:
LinuxInit: Server must be suid root
So, my question is as sbox can only login by user, how to active the Xfbdev by
root?
