Did you notice the difference between:
SBOX_REDIRECT_IGNORE=/usr/bin/perl /usr/bin/perl --version
and
SBOX_REDIRECT_IGNORE=/usr/bin/perl perl --version
Ie. you need to execute the perl with absolute path when disabling the
redirect engine.
