Hooray! Out of morbid curiosity, what would be the implications of converting screen to use ncurses (ignoring the workload, of course) - could it be done? I think it'd improve portability and reduce the code base a bit.... and would give you the capability to handle V/H splits easilly, and even "floating" windows or something.... One feature I was thinking about a while back would be a multiline hardstatus... I use the hardstatus line for *alot* of stuff... cpu temp, battery levels, scaling freq, weather, and all that jazz - basically I use it in the same way most people use torsmo/conky/desklets/gkrellm. It'd be nice to be able to have 2 or 3 lines for hardstatus info (I have a small font, so it's not a screen real-estate issue), and that way I could add some little meters to the line too: Battery: [XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ] (where the X have a green background and the rest is default). _______________________________________________ screen-users mailing list screen-users@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/screen-users
