Citing "needless pollution" caused by the disks, a group of eco-aware Internet users put together a Web site called nomoreaolcds.com at the start of this month with the stated goal of collecting 1 million disks. Once collected, they plan to pollute the front lawn of AOL's U.S. headquarters with them. More than 20 days into their campaign, the site said it has collected 25 disks. At this rate, AOL will have a major cleanup on its hands in just under 3,000 years.
