Art Technology Group (ATG) plans to support and deploy its Dynamo e-
business platform as well as its other enterprise applications on
IBM's WebSphere application server. This will effectively make Dynamo
a cross-platform solution, running on the four major application
server platforms and on ATG's own Dynamo application server.

THE MISSING LINK | Net distractions in the classroom
Bentley and Babson, two Boston-area colleges, were wired when wired
wasn't widespread. Now it seems students are surfing the Net, e-
mailing and instant messaging in class when they should be paying
attention to the professors. Can you hear a voice saying, "Do I need
to separate you two?" So, the schools are spending truckloads of
dollars on software and hardware that lets professors block Internet
access, e-mails and IMs. Some professors at Bentley are enabled with
technology that lets them snag a student's e-mail or IM and put it up
on a big screen for the whole class to share. Between technology and
humiliation, the problem shouldn't last long. (Source: The Associated
