IBM OFFERS DISCOUNTS | News: The Four Hundred
IBM is offering a deal on business continuity services for
those looking to upgrade to a Model 830 or Model 840, or to
buy a whole new machine in this iSeries power class.

TWO MORE PRODUCTS KILLED BY WEBSPHERE | News: The Four Hundred
Certain iSeries development tools are being rewritten to
support WebSphere Application Server 4.0. But what IBM hasn't
made a point of shouting about is that other new tools will
also need to be redesigned and rewritten to work with Version
4.0, or they'll have to be removed from the market altogether.

HISTORY LOG TIPS| Tip: search400

If you know the message ID of the message you are trying to
find in the history log, you can use the DSPLOG command with
MSGID and you will see only messages with that message ID. For
example: DSPLOG MSGID (CPF0000) will display messages starting
with CPF as their message IDs. Check out this tip for the
command to write to the history log.

THE MISSING LINK |Pope says geeks shall inherit the earth

The geeks shall inherit the earth? Despite the fact that Pope
John Paul doesn't surf, not even to download his favorite
Gregorian chants from MP3, he is giving some props to the
digital age. The pontiff plans to dedicate his message for
World Communications Day to the Internet. That day is a ways
away, not until May 12, 2002. This isn't the first nod the Net
has gotten from the Vatican -- the Web was blessed earlier
this year with a pair of patron saints.
