IBM EXTENDS SUPPORT FOR OS/400 V4R5 | News: The Four Hundred

OS/400 V4R5 has received a temporary stay of execution. V4R5 was
set to lose services on July 31, but IBM will continue to support it
until Dec. 31. The question is: Why would IBM extend support for
V4R5 when it should be trying to peddle V5R1?

THE MISSING LINK | E-mail pranks may scare off users

Could a game of strip poker scare the pants off e-mail users? One
psychologist thinks it's in the cards. Last week a British man's
supposedly private game turned into a global "peekfest," as
pictures of him stretched far beyond their intended e-recipients
and landed as far away as Australia and Singapore. A psychologist
in Manchester predicts incidents like these will strip e-mail of
its popularity as an informal medium. The theory is that people
will be more afraid of their private info (or in this case, their
private parts!) getting into public hands. He thinks this could
mean the phone call (gasp) may make a comeback!
