[Dx4win] FTDX 5000 MP

2010-06-05 Thread W4PV
Hello,

I recently upgraded to V8.04 and it does not have a setup for the FTDX 5000MP
radio. I have tried other radio settings but they did not talk to my radio.
Has anyone been able to solve this problem and would you share the setup you
used.

Thank you,

Patrick, W4PV

[Dx4win] Unwanted spots

2010-06-05 Thread Jim Simon
Is there any way to completely eliminate spots for unwanted bands (for
example, 2 meters and 6 meters) in the dx spots window? Right now they
appear in grey, but I'd like to block them out completely. I'm using v.
8.04.

Thanks es 73,
Jim W1YY/7

Jim,

I am using command
accept/spots freq 0/3
given to the cluster node. This works at least with Spider Cluster.

Not a solution if you want to see some of the grey spots.

ve7cc software is the most flexible solution...

Re: [Dx4win] Unwanted spots

2010-06-05 Thread Jim Simon
Kjell, thanks for the response. I had already done what you described -- I
checked only the bands/modes I want to see in Packet3, but spots for all of
the unchecked bands and modes are also appearing (in grey).

If I recall correctly, in 8.02 I only saw grey spots for stations I had
already worked in the same band/mode (in the bands/modes I had checked in
Packet3), but since I upgraded to 8.04 yesterday, I'm seeing grey spots for
all the bands/modes that I had not checked in Packet3. The result is that
most of the spots on the screen at any one time are unwanted spots, and the
spots bands/modes I do want to see scroll off the screen too quickly.

Any further thoughts? Thanks!

73,
Jim W1YY/7

Seems to work ok but when I SEND a spot with QSX, the VFO freqs are swapped.
Works FB when I click on a spot though!
