https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283548 --- Comment #29 from S. Burmeister sven.burmeis...@gmx.net --- From a dev's email to a mailinglist (today): I read about the POP3/disconnected IMAP filtering problems. What I can say I extensively use both and have filters for both. The few things I noticed so far are: - after resume from hibernation, the filter agent can be busy (not sure why) for a few minutes - after resume from hibernation if some mail arrived meantime to the POP3 inbox, they might not be filtered - ocassionally (but not more than 1/day), I get a conflict dialog What I didn't try yet is spam filtering on online IMAP. In any case, there will be a KDEPIM development sprint next weekend. Test the latest version (if from source, even better, if not, try the latest release), gather as much information/logs as possible, find how problems can be reproduced and report them as bugs, so I can look at them at the sprint. Same dev, different email: Is in kmail a possibility/option to write debug-logs ? To get a chance to send some info ? Sure, there is. There is the filter log (see the Tools menu), then you can enabled the different log areas for KDE applications with kdebugdialog. Here you should enable the one for the akonadi filter agent (and disable most of the others to not get a too big log) and restart akonadi from a console with akonadictl restart. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=255388 --- Comment #52 from S. Burmeister sven.burmeis...@gmx.net --- (In reply to comment #51) This problem lives still in 4.8.5 but not so bad as before. 4.9.0 is current and includes a lot of fixes regarding filtering. So please try again with that version. When I receive a bunch of cron job mails - sometimes up to 1000 - only ~15% of the mails are not moved to the right folder. Applying the filter to all mails in the inbox does not work. When I select only same mails the filter works. Any debug output from the filter logs and akoandi logs? Please only from 4.9. This nasty behavior last since month. It seems a too hard task to get the filter working again. Must we accept the 85% solution? It's a matter of time. Do you have some spare time left to help? Never change a running system! You were given the possibility to change it, i.e. upgrade, you changed it, nobody forced you to do so. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292497 --- Comment #21 from S. Burmeister sven.burmeis...@gmx.net --- (In reply to comment #18) Problem seems to relate to message retrieval options. Filtering works only if the message retrieval is Always retrieve full messages. I can confirm this. Whereas before only filters working on the subject worked, List-Post header filters etc. work now as well. (kdepim 4.8.4) There seems to be a bug which reverts message retireval to ondemand every time I click Check Mail. I _think_ I managed to fix the issue by checking Use options from parent folder or account. The check box setting doesn't persit for some reason (hey, another bug! :) However, this caused the Always retrieve full messages to activate and stay activated. MY experience here differs a bit. If you open the top-folder's properties, i.e. the account folder's and set it to always retrieve full email it will not stick. If one unchecks use parent folder's settings e.g. for the inbox folder and enables always retrieve full email it does stick. [Bug 302960] Cannot localise (set) trash folder for local folders resource
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302960 --- Comment #2 from S. Burmeister sven.burmeis...@gmx.net --- For an imap resource you can set a trash folder, e.g. Local folders/Mülleimer. This allows to use a localised trash, i.e. translated string to e.g. Mülleimer in German. If you delete an email from that imap's account it is moved to Local folders/Mülleimer - For an Local Folders akonadi resource you cannot set the trash folder. That'S why if you delete an email within a local folder it is moved to Local folders/trash. The folder Local folders/trash is not localised automatically. Which is should IMHO. It is impossible to delete Local folders/trash although a German user wants to use Local folders/Mülleimer. - So currently the user only has the choice to use the English trash or have two trash folders, one in English (for Local Folders) and one in his language for imap folders. Doing the same for an email that arrived today, no matter whether its status is read or unread works. Now comes the interesting bit. If I enable the filter that pipes emails through bogofilter and apply it to new and unread emails the content gets removed (this bug). Yet if I apply all filters to an old and unread email which does not get moved the email gets the bogofilter header and does not lose its content, i.e. the spam filtering bit works as it should. I tried to clean the akonadi cache via akonadiconsole in order to make the old emails move again but that does not work. Switching back to kdepim 4.8 without the patch does not work either. [Bug 295484] filtering removes email's content
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=295484 S. Burmeister sven.burmeis...@gmx.net changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|FIXED |--- --- Comment #24 from S. Burmeister sven.burmeis...@gmx.net --- The 4.8.5 patch does not fix this issue. The content of the emails is still removed. I might have found another piece of information though. After kmail received the email it showed an akonadi conflicting message dialogue which seems to show that either spamassasin eats the email's content, which I think is unlikely, or that kmail/akonadi does already feed the external app with an empty email. [Bug 302960] New: Cannot localise (set) trash folder for local folders resource
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302960 Bug ID: 302960 Severity: normal Version: 4.8.4 Priority: NOR Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Summary: Cannot localise (set) trash folder for local folders resource Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux Reporter: sven.burmeis...@gmx.net Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Component: config dialog Product: kmail2 If I edit an IMAP account I can set the trash folder to use, i.e. Mülleimer. For the local folders this is not possible and hence those users using a localised trash folder will always end-up with two trash folders. If this is an akonadi issue please re-assign. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set an imap account to use Local Folders/Mülleimer as trash folder 2. Delete an email from the imap resource 3. Go to some folder within Local Folders and delete an email Actual Results: The email from 2. ends-up in Local Folders/Mülleimer. The email from 3. ends-up in Local Folders/trash Expected Results: To be able to use localised trash folders, i.e. all accounts using the same trash folder and to be able to set which folder that should be. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
