Re: LyX Menu Bar is Missing
Thanks. I was able to resolve the issue. I looked into KWin System Settings as suggested. A feature in the latest version of KDE Plasma is to blame. System Settings> Application Style> Fine Tuning> Menubar style> In Application resolves it. If you're using Unity: Older versions of unity 'grabbed' the menu bar of the active program and displayed it at the top of the screen (not window), but only if the cursor is there. Try moving the cursor to the top of the screen. I remember having to delete (or rename) an executable to restore 'normal' behaviour. Newer versions seem to have another system, which is configurable in a more practical way, and allow to auto-hide the menu. I believe this is a property of the window manager - not of LyX. John

I've seen this once on unity-desktop too. It was configurable, but I don't remember how. Small googling for 'unity menu bar desktop' gives for instance https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2014/02/ubuntu-desktop-moving-application-menus-back-into-application-windows/ Kornel signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
