Hello.
I can't find an easy way to place a markup string exactly at the right of a
notehead so they appear horizontally aligned. The only apparent way to
obtain that is the trial-and-error procedure.
This can be very frustrating because I have to compile the input several
times.
A work-around
Thomas,
thank you for your help. Unfortunately the snippet produces two errors that
are visible with a size bigger than 1.2.
Have a look at: http://lilybin.com/y1t45z/1

I was able to do it, thanks to http://lsr.di.unimi.it/LSR/Snippet?id=211
In my use case, the following did the trick:

Jacques,
You do not need to use chord notation and the \set command.
Fingering down indicated by the _ (underscore), e.g., a,4_3, and the up
fingering by the ^ (carat), e.g., e^1
The - (dash) is a neutral setting and Lilypond decides according to voice
number.

Hello,
how can I modify the size of the arrow of an \arpeggioArrowUp/Down object?
Thanks

Yes, the idea is ideally to do that in a collaborative fashion.

Hello,
Is there a way to center a rest between the staves of a piano-staff?
I could specify the vertical position with "somenote \rest" but I wonder
is is there a better (and automatic) method, given that the position
depends on multiple factors.

Thanks David,
at the bottom is what I got so far.
Two problems I could not tackle so far:
1. I would like the engraver to be usable in two modes of operation:
A. acknowledging grobs from the note-head-engraver, coloring them
B. directly listening to note-events, output some kind of text,

Hello folks,
In the attached score, I’ve had to create artificial one-note chords such as
for the down fingering orientation to be taken into account:
\set fingeringOrientations = #'(down)
4 a, e | % 2
I didn’t find other ways to achieve this result in the docs.
Would it be reasonable
