I found a number of reports about nmbd not starting.
For me nmbd does start, but stops randomly, so while this is a different bug,
it must be somehow related.
But, first things first.
I am new to Linux. I followed various tutorial on the net to
I seem to have the same problem with Unutu 9.10, except that sudo modprobe
kvm_amd npt=0 doesn't help (following dump is after
# rmmod kvm_amd

Multicore CPU Freqiency scaling broken
It seems that if i do some change in the hardware configuration of the
netbook (plug in our out eth cable, usb device or whatsoever) the
machine comes back. It must be something with detecting changes in the
io system. Must be a small thing. Anybody knows about workaround?

I hope i have found the correct bug:
Nautilus 2.28.1 still have the problem, that only a single click is
needed to open a smb-bookmark in the sidebar.

I removed Vera*.ttf file from my /usr/share/fonts/windows directory and I ran

I've got exactly the same problem. Noticed it first on 9.04. Updated to
9.10 and didn't resolve issue :( I have an Acer Aspire One D150-1Bb. It
was very strange as you could click once on an app to launch it (e.g.
firefox) but then you couldn't get firefox to focus and could then not
click on it
I actually thought it meant, check for an updated version of this
installer i.e. clicking the button would simply check for (and, if
found, install) a newer version of ubiquity - *not* any of the other
software updates that might otherwise be dealt with post-installation.
