Re: [Ac100] [Fwd: pre-release 11.10 images are available for testing....]
Hi, This is my first post on this list. So thanks first to all of you working on improving the AC100 image. I had a look at the images available on this page: http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/ I guess the default image for the AC100 would be that one: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-preinstalled/20111007/oneiric-preinstalled-desktop-armel+ac100.img.gzBut it no longer exists on the server. Just wondering if it would be possible to produce a Lubuntu image. I am currently running this image: http://193.238.157.78/~markus/ac100/rootfs/rootfs-32-maverick-5-test.tar.gzBut I had to install the Lubuntu desktop package in order to have a working environment due to RAM restriction (even though I love Unity...). BR Pierre 2011/10/8 Oliver Grawert o...@ubuntu.com hi, since this affects our images too, i thought i should forward it, please help testing as you can and note the results on the iso tracker. ciao oli -- Message transféré -- From: Kate Stewart kate.stew...@canonical.com To: ubuntu-de...@lists.ubuntu.com, ubuntu...@lists.ubutu.com, ubuntu-...@lists.ubuntu.com, ubuntu-translat...@lists.ubuntu.com Date: Fri, 07 Oct 2011 20:37:49 -0500 Subject: pre-release 11.10 images are available for testing Hi all, Have been getting some 1:1 questions today, asking about the release candidates, so wanted to follow up with a wider post. Apologies for any duplicates of this message you receive. The images that are the trial run for the official images, were posted up on the iso tester last night/today. The most recent language pack updates should now be included on those images rebuilt today as well. They are now very close to what we'll be building as the formal candidate images on sunday/monday. Any help you can give in testing the images available on the iso tester out over the next couple of days would be much appreciated. The latest images can be found: http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/ Thanks for any help you can provide us with testing these pre-release images!!! hi, Am Samstag, den 08.10.2011, 12:19 +0200 schrieb hiro: here's my asound.state. use alsactl to restore it's settings to your setup. what about an init file /usr/share/alsa/init/00main ? you should never use asound.state manually, it is modified and parsed by alsa all the time and you might confuse it if you manually change the file. this is a 100% system file that shouldnt be touched by users. 00main would be an option, but the whole ancient init hackery is considered obsolete upstream, so that would also only be temporary ... ASoC sound is supposed to use ucm nowadays, so we need to create the proper ucm configuration to initialize the sound properly. alongside an SRU upload for oneiric this indeed needs to go upstream. ciao oli ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ac100 Post to : ac100@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ac100 More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Just wondering if it would be possible to produce a Lubuntu image. I sorry, but i think this is a bit to late for the oneiric cycle ... for the P (precise) release you could talk to the lubuntu maintainers. to get approval from the ubuntu release team for building an additional image it is required that someone commits to take the responsibility for all QA (testing all milestone images, working on bugs that are specific to this image, etc). this indeed requires that the team has someone with the hardware to test on who does this commitment. ciao oli ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ac100 Post to : ac100@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ac100 More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
