Hi Giuseppe, I have tested the lan free backup in a similar environment. I recommend you updating the API and client version. On the other hand, when the backup is not lan free it goes through lan, then it is possible you have problems in the configuration. We are getting ready to install lan-free on Win 2000 clients with an AIX 4.3.3 TSM 4.2.1.7 server. What level of the API, Client, and Storage Agent code would you recommend using? Ain't going to work! Get to 4.2.1.11 or higher on your TSM Server and your Storage Agent Client. Are you doing any kind of backup that may involve management class rebinding? There is an open APAR for lanfree backups when rebinding is performed. This APAR will be fixed in TSM 4.2.2.0. Are the TSM server, client and AIX at the base level? Have you tried with server 4.2.1.12 (4.2.1.13 is now available). Better do not use base level client - go to at least 4.2.1.2x.
