Re: Adwords API grant access

2015-10-14 Thread etienne . veilleux
Hi and thank you for your answer.

My problem was that I did not request to get the customer Id based on the
OAuth credentials.

Now I have this in my code which allows me to retrieve the customer id:

$user = new AdWordsUser();

$user->SetOAuth2Info(array(
 "client_id" => $clientId,
 "client_secret" => $clientSecret,
 "access_token" => $access_token,
 "refresh_token" => $refresh_token
));

$customerService = $user->GetService('CustomerService');
$cust = $customerService->get();
$user->setCustomerClientId( $cust->customerId );

For now I have everything in hand to move forward. Thank you very much for
your useful information!

Thank you,
Etienne

Re: Targeting Idea Service Empty results

2015-10-14 Thread Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)
Hi Prashant,

I don't know of any changes recently in the API's Targeting Idea Service
that would cause that to happen. I also gave this a try in v201502, and
it's the same behavior. Would you happen to have an old log that shows a
case where you were receiving empty results?

Re: Targeting Idea Service Empty results

2015-10-14 Thread Prashant Nagar
No, unfortunately, I do not have logs for older results.
Has some other parameter changed? or was it in a release before 201502? I
am very sure that I used to get input and output count as same.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Prashant

Re: Targeting Idea Service Empty results

2015-10-14 Thread Prashant Nagar
Hi Nadine,
After trying out some more variations, it seems that Language and Location
parameters in selectors is causing the less number of results than input
set. I am using TargetingIdeaService since v201309 and passing the language
and location parameters since then. (mostly UNITED_STATES and ENGLISH). At
present I am on v201502 and trying to move on v201506. I am certain about
same number of results being returned till v201409.

Seems like Language and Location filters are now being more restrictive
than it used to be. Can you please check if it is true?

Thanks for your help!
Prashant

Hi Everyone,

I've had this exact same problem and I solved it by including the path to
googleads.yaml as an argument to LoadFromStorage.

adwords.AdWordsClient.LoadFromStorage('PATH_TO_GOOGLEADS.YAML')

Thanks

Re: Targeting Idea Service Empty results

2015-10-14 Thread Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)
Hi Prashant,

I double-checked the release notes
 and the migration
guides
.
There were changes to some of the parameters in the last year, but none of
the those parameters should have had an effect on the results returning
differently. It would really help if you could supply which version of the
API you remember it working that way. That way it would be easier for me to
try to look through the code base with a time range in mind.

Cheers,
Nadine, AdWords API Team

Hi Tiana,

Unfortunately, there are no new fields that correspond to the conversion
fields that were removed. Instead, the AllConversions field was added

to represent the conversions that were part of EstimatedTotalConversions.

Re: Targeting Idea Service Empty results

2015-10-14 Thread Prashant Nagar
Hi,
I have posted the question there as you said.
Did you try after removing the Language and Location? I am not sure if I
should add the logic to handle the missing results or if there is some sort
of parameter that I can pass which will return me all the results back?
Interesting though that nobody else has faced this!

Thanks,
Prashant

 Has some other parameter changed? or was it in a release before 201502?
 I am very sure that I used to get input and output count as same.
 Any suggestions?

Re: Adwords API grant access

2015-10-14 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

Is the issue that:

a. You aren't getting back the OAuth credential from your
*GetOAuth2Credential* call?

OR

b. You are getting back the OAuth credential, but you're not sure what to
do next?

If a), then I'd recommend going through the PHP library's OAuth2 guide
.

If b), then the Making Your First Request guide
 has some
helpful instructions for each client library. Just make sure you click the
*PHP* tab, and the guide will show you how to configure the library and
make an API request.

Also, you mentioned that you wanted to get account information based on the
OAuth credentials. Each user is associated with only *one* AdWords account
(either a Manager Account
 or a regular AdWords
account), and you can get that account's information by issuing a
CustomerService.get

 call.
This will give you back the clientCustomerId

 (among
other things) of the account associated with your OAuth credentials.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Josh, AdWords API Team

Removed conversion reporting columns

2015-10-14 Thread Tiana S.
Some conversion reporting changes are stated on the reference page of
v201509.
There is described that the following columns are removed:

EstimatedTotalConversionValuePerClick
> EstimatedTotalConversionValuePerCost
> EstimatedTotalConversionRate
> EstimatedTotalConversionValue
> EstimatedTotalConversions
> EstimatedCrossDeviceConversions
> CostPerEstimatedTotalConversion
> ValuePerEstimatedTotalConversion

Instead you should use one of the following new columns:

> Conversions
> AllConcersions
> ConversionValue
> AllConversionValue
> ConversionRate
> AllConversionRage
> CostPerConversion
> CostPerAllConversion
> CrossDeviceConversions
> ValuePerConversion
> ValuePerAllConversion

None of these seem to be a replacement for the columns
EstimatedTotalConversionValuePerClick and
EstimatedTotalConversionValuePerCost though.
How can I fetch these two columns in 201509?

Thanks,

Tiana
