[Alsa-user] Philips psc-724 problems
Hi, I've just got above card, which is based on ice1724 chip. Card supports 5.1 and 24/96, according to the box. I see alsa recognises the card and loads all the modules required, however I can't play anything. There are no mixers - only mixer-like items are the multitrack peak meters, which obviously don't do the job. Also, when trying to work, arts just locks up the dsp - trying to play anything will just hang. When trying from aplay or xine, the sound seems to play, but obviously nothing comes out. envy24control doesn't work with this chip, and a couple of asoundrc combos I tried haven't helped... Please help :D Milan PS. if that helps, I can send outputs from alsadebug script --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media. [Alsa-user] no line-in nor mic since Kernel=2.6.15
Hi, I've 2 soundcards in my computer, a Soundblaster Audigy LS (snd_ca0106) and the onboard nvidia card (snd_intel8x0). The Sb is connected to a tv-card Pinnacle Rage (bttv). First I thought, it was the tvcard., but I don't have mics too. This happened after installing Kernel 2.6.15 (actually 2.6.16). I'm using SuSE 10.0/10.1. both cards worked before, no mixer settings were changed. Strange... have you tried just plain set instead of sset ... or do a amixer -c0 controls and use cset id# On 4/4/06, Rakotomandimby Mihamina [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: It does not work. [Alsa-user] capture problems
hi, I'm using 1.0.10rc3 on thinkpad t41p with intel 810 / ac97. 1. when I plug input in the line-in, there is always sound in the speakers, its impossible to mute. 2. i cannot activate line-in capturing (gnome-mixer, alsamixer). all i try keeps the sound present [see 1.], but in recording app its around -50db .. any ideas? could this be some weired bios setting? or is it even a known alsa bug? kind regards, phaidros --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
