[Alsa-user] Problems with ACER Aspire 3 built-in audio
usbserial,xhci_hcd,snd_usb_audio,usbhid,snd_usbmidi_lib,uvcvideo,btusb,xhci_pci,ch341 I tried forcing jack to use hwplug:sofhdadsp but got messages to say that I shouldn't use that as conversion is automatic, and it still produced the above error. I have a little boom bar that I connect either with bluetooth or a cable to the headphone socket, and the bass is fine (for a small bar) on that. Even better through a decent PA system! If you still lack bass, get a USB plugin audio dongle - the cheap end ones are not too bad, I use one on my desktop box as the audio chip on the motherboard has either died, or I'm doing something wrong as I can't get any sound out of it. I feed into a pair of small powered studio monitors with that and the sound quality is fairly good. It has high RAM and CPU usage usually, swapping happens. I rarely find a web page that uses sound but some do and they work. I didn't even think about it though. I've had that recently. However, I ran some updates which required a reboot and the noise has gone, at least for the moment. [Alsa-user] Using a USB serial device as a MIDI source
I'm currently working on an Arduino-based project which generates MIDI output. Under Linux it appears as a /dev/ttyUSB?. How can I persuade ALSA to treat it as a MIDI source (and possibly destination).
