NAFA Open World Series/Seattle Invite Results at Dacca Park in Fife, Washington July 31-Aug 2Special thanks to our Host Ryan Daly, TD Clark Evans, UIC Pete Davis and his staff and to our scorekeepers and umpires and souvenir staff, beer garden staff, concessions staff and field maintenance staff and to the City of Fife City Council.Team USA Pitcher, Tony Mancha and BC Umpire Dan Young were inducted into the NAFA Hall of Fame on Saturday Night.Some top pitching speeds in the event were Jorge Segura hitting 80 mph, Tony Mancha at 78, Tyson Barkman at 77, Shawn Koster at 76, Patrick Burns at 76, Derek Mason 75, Brandon Peck 73, Andrew Pietnick 73, Rob Schweyer 73, Sisko Sabate 73, Rich Haldane 72, Josh Johnson 72, Harv Weins 71. Middleton, Wisconsin
  The Farm Tavern (Madison, Wisc) captured the 2007 NAFA Open
World Series Sunday afternoon at Bowling Green Recreation Complex.
 The event marked the first time NAFA held a stand-alone Open-level
event after having the class as a part of it's traditional World
Series in 2003, 2005 and 2006.
  After being dropped to the Losers Bracket by Albaugh, Inc.
(Elkhart, Iowa) Saturday evening, The Farm battled back Sunday
by breaking out the bats with wins over Townline (Green Bay,
Wisc) 8-0 in 5 innings, the MinnDak Millers (Fargo, ND) 8-1 in
5 innings, Albaugh, Inc. 3-0 and Circle Tap (Denmark, Wisc) 7-0
in 5 innings in the Single-Game Championship Final.
  Circle Tap Third Baseman Kyle Magnusson was named the tournament's
Most Valuable Player.  The Farm's Korrey Gareau was named the
Most Valuable Pitcher.
  Both players earned spots on the All World Team.
  Remaining All World Team members are as follows:

As many of you know the fields are lettered not numbered at Bowling
Green so this bracket has the field letters added to it...The
game times are all the same. If you haven't sent your complete
roster to Brett please do so today at[EMAIL PROTECTED]
 He will get it to Tony Schaff who will be doing stats for us
for this event.
 
Please note that the winner of this event gets a set of 15 uniforms
provided by www.Teamgamewear.com 
 
Souvenirs this weekend will be provided by Fine Designs of Wisconsin.
 
Remind your spectators which is everyone not associated as a
coach or player that there is a spectator gate fee for this open
world series of $5 a day.

Bowling Green Recreation Center, Madison, Wisconsin
 
We are preparing for the 2007 THE FARM/NAFA OPEN WORLD SERIES
to be held July 27-29 in Middleton(near Madison), Wisconsin at
the Bowling Green Softball Complex. The Tournament will use the
NAFA 3GG Bracket with no if necessary game. The Bracket can be
found on our website at www.Nafafastpitch.com  Start Times for
each team are as follows:
 
Midwest Stampede, Des Moines, Iowa plays the Bloomington Stix,
from Bloomington, Illinois at 4:30 and the winner plays MinnDak
Millers, Fargo, North Dakota at 8:30 pm.
 
Dolan  Murphy, Aurora, Illinois plays Plangger Furniture, Benton-Harbor,
Michigan at 4:30 and the winner plays the Defending Co-Champion
Circle Tap, Denmark, Wisconsin at 7pm.
 
Albaugh, Inc, Elkhart, Iowa, plays New Image, Montfort, Wisconsin
at 6 pm and the winner plays the Defending Co-Champion, Townline,
Green Bay, Wisconsin at 9 pm.
 
Thomson Area Merchants, Thomson, Illinois plays Kegel Black Sox,
Fargo, North Dakota at 7pm and the winner plays the Host Team
The Farm, Madison, Wisconsin at 9:30 pm.
 
Games continue Saturday beginning at 10 am with the winner's
bracket final at 9pm Saturday night and then the final 6 teams
begin again on Sunday at 8 am with the Championship Game at 2pm.

 
We invite all fastpitch spectators to come join us for some exciting
fastball. Spectator Gate, $5 a day for adults and $3 for kids.
 
The bracket will be seeded evenly based on a combination of the
following criteria: 1) Defending Co-Champions, Host Team, 2)
then top seeded teams based on the coaches rankings of each team
and 3) Input from the NAFA Executive Committee and Classification
Committee.

NAFA Announced this week that our newest sponsor GameWear Team

team a complete set of 15 custom made uniforms for the Champion
of each of the following divisions of NAFA World Series, Open,

will replace the pullover coats we had been giving away but will
no longer.
