Title: Beginner Questions: Analog on Mac OS 10.3



All,

Apologies for beginner questions but Ive been struggling for some time. Here is my configuration:

Mac OS X (10.3)
Downloaded Analog 5.91b1 and unzipped the sit.
The Analog folder is sitting on my desktop
Running standard configuration of Apache on Mac.

Questions:
What directory should I place the Analog folder in?
My log files are located in /private/var/log/httpd/access_log, what format should the logfile entry in analog.cfg take to edit the logfile location.
If I choose to move my log file location for apache, what Apache directive do I change and what is the appropriate format.

It completely doesn't matter. Whatever makes sense for you.

The Carbon version of Analog is unable to read files in /private (an 
Apple enforced limitation on Carbon applications). The Darwin version can 
read them there. For the Carbon version you will probably need to move 
your logs elsewhere.

The CustomLog directive. Read the httpd.conf file for examples or go to 
the www.apache.org web site and read their docs.
