[android-developers] Misreads on code 128, code 39 and code 93

Hi All,
  We are currently using zxing to scan code 39, code 93 and code 128 
barcode. Sometimes we get misreads. Is there anyway to prevent misreads(wrong 
value returned) we are using zxing 3.3.3.

• Must have 5+ years’ experience as a Mulesoft Admin and be a Mule ESB 3.x
– Expert Level
• Must have hands-on experience on Building interfaces on Mulesoft’s ESB
platform.
• Must have experience with authentication and authorization, Security
concepts in Mule
•  Must have knowledge on administrative aspects of Mule ESB.
• Must have extensive experience with Mule CloudHub (v3.x) and/and Mule
ESB.
• Must have experience in Core Java, Messaging (JMS), Web API - SOAP, REST
and authentication methods such as OAuth and SAML

A Level 4 type of SQL Server DBA

 - Who can come in and help assess and tune the current
environment/databases

 - Someone who does NOT suggest major re-architecture of the entire
setup/infrastructure. While re-architecture might be important, this is NOT
the right time to go on that path.

 - Instead, someone, who can:

 - See the current Database configuration

 - Find ways to re-configure, tune the necessary parameters/knobs to make
the system much more stable

 - Someone who is articulate to communicate and collaborate with
developers, DevOps, and Architects

 - Provide alternate options along with Pros and Cons

 - Extrapolate the scaling aspects of current server infrastructure. For
example, based on the current server capacity, how many more new customers
can be added.

This is not a simple math. One needs to take into consideration of
Movie/Production size, duration etc. to come up with metrics.

[android-developers] Blank dialog pops up on nougat

Hi All,
   I have an app which targets SDK 21. When I tried to run the app on 
nougat a blank popup (dialog) with an ok button pops up. Not sure where it 
is coming from. It does not happen on marshmallow or lollipop. Any ideas ? 
Nothing in the log which gives any hints.

Hi All,
  I am fairly new to Android and trying to use Android Nsd to discover 
services on the local network. 

  Running in to the following errors from time to time

  1> services can be found but it cannot be resolved due to 
FAILURE_ALREADY_ACTIVE 
<http://developer.android.com/reference/android/net/nsd/NsdManager.html#FAILURE_ALREADY_ACTIVE>.
 
How can one get rid of this error ? How to get mac address of an already 
active service and its host of address ?
  2> Sometimes I have seen that context.getSystemService(Context.NSD_SERVICE); 
hang. 

 Has anybody faced similar issues and resolved them ?

I have few questions about Android GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter
application.
As per my understnading this application is useful to sync google
calendar events between google server and android phone.

1. Android phone can display calendar range 1902 January 1 to 2036
December 31st.
   if I have last 10 years of gmail calendar events, is it possible to
sync all these events? (Assume device memory  is large enough.)

2. While performing syncing, Will this application request only for
limited time calendar events (EX: last 30 days) or will it sync all
calendar events from server at the same time?
 how excatly GoogleCalendarSyncworks?

3. is there any limit on number of calendar events for syncing?

Could anyone help me in finding answers for above questions.

am in need of developing an audio player which will play audio files
of larger size. i need to control the playback rate of it. i need to
play it a bit slower than normal and a bit higher than normal. is
there any support for this? soundpool is used for playing audio files
of 1mb only and even tried AudioTrack in which only PCM/WAV formats
are supported. kindly suggest me any solution or any third party lib
which will satisfy this.

I am developing camera application. To display data, I created surface
flinger. While displaying if I press menu button, menu will be
displayed behind the surface flinger that is created. No idea why menu
is going behind surface flinger. And also I want to create few buttons
on surface flinger. Please help me how to do that. I created surface

[android-developers] Regarding menu items in separate rows

Hi,
How to add menu items in separate rows?  When I press menu button
onPrepareOptionsMenu callback will be get called. In that I am doing
menu.add (….). All the items are coming in one row.
I want few items in one row and other items in another row. How to do
that? Please help me.

even i faced same problem. getView is getting called 2x or 3x times
per item. any idea why this problem is coming. please share here if
any way to control this types of calling.

   android audio issue
   using mic i am recording the audio and i am playing it, but the
voice quality is not good
   and some kaar kaar ... sound is there
   why the voice quality is not good  ?
   why is that kaar kaar sound ?

I am using logcat to debug. I have noticed that the Android shell
does not have the export PATH variable exporting the path to
/system/bin where the logcat is located.
Some times on the android shell when I do
