Key responsibilities:

We is seeking a network/voice engineer to be part of a highly energetic 
global support team. This position requires the candidate must have 2+ 
years of experience in troubleshooting, support, and management of a 
complex network and voice infrastructure. The candidate must have good 
verbal and written communication skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

•  Coordinate with other technology teams globally to resolve 
network issues impacting business

•  Raise incident notifications and work on restoration of 
services

•  Maintain accurate records of incidents, changes, and 
production documentation

•  Closely work with the Engineering and Implementation teams

•  Knowledge of networking technologies, topologies, and 
protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SNMP, VRRP, HSRP, and carrier circuits)

•  Understanding of internetworking design and implementation 
of networks (access-control lists, policy routing, firewalls, peering, and 
DNS/DHCP)

•  Knowledge of switching technologies (VLANs, trunking, and 
STP)

•  Knowledge of Cisco Call Manager, Call Center, Voice 
Recording (Cybertech, Verint), Audio Conferencing (Avaya), Unity Voice mail 
systems, Trader Voice platforms (IPC, BT, Unigy, ISR/Hoots) is preferred

•  Prior experience maintaining high service levels in an high 
availability environment

•  Basic analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

•  Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently in a 
global team environment

 

 

Involves researching, developing and delivering effective solutions to 
support the infrastructure systems ensuring the application of current and 
emerging technologies.

 

Day to Day responsibilities:

 

•   Day to day management and support of servers;

•   Being part of a team of technical specialists in service delivery 
and transitional projects;

•   Monitoring of the servers, addressing any issues raised and 
ensuring that contracted services are met;

•   Proactive maintenance of the server estate;

•   Server Hardware and Windows Server OS break fix using the EARS 
ticketing system;

•   Patching & Anti-Virus updates;

•   implementing service improvements;

•   Attending DR rehearsals;

•   Monthly Reporting;

•   Implementing Ad-hoc project work requests; On-call cover and out of 
hours support.

 

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree and/or required years of experience

• Should have baseline skills in Technology Solution Design

*Required Skills and Experience:*
 - Design and develop more complex tests and non-functional tests.
 - Perform many of the roles required of a software testing project,

He or she’ll be joining the existing development team to improve, develop, 
and maintain the processes that form our client’s backbone. Customer 
expects identified candidate tool kit to be diverse: customizing Middleware 
or creating their own solutions in Rails as appropriate, with a ton of Java 
as the keystone integrating our various systems.

 

Requirements:

•  BS in Computer Science or related discipline.

•  5+ years post-collegiate programming experience with Java. Ruby 
experience a plus. Considerable Python or PERL experience considered in 
lieu of some Java experience.

•  Professional experience with large scale ERP systems a huge plus 
– we use Great Plains.

•  Solid experience with integration software – we use webMethods.

•  Facility with application APIs – Salesforce, SOAP, REST, etc.

•  Prior experience with architecting business solutions using 
knowledge of Middleware, databases, and scripting languages.

•  Proficiency in SQL and XML sufficient to maintain a pre-existing 
database.
