Re: [android-developers] Re: Android reset in dalvik layer(system_server or zygote process crash)
Hi macterry, Firstly, thanks for your help, But I can not agree with you. I think the ActivityManagerService killed by WatchDog is rootcause. The system_server process will crash if ActivityThread occurs fatal exception. Many Thanks !!! 2012/3/24 mcterry macte...@gmail.com: Hello Hongyue, When looking through the logcat, look for the FATAL EXCEPTION. Then, look for the first line that has your applications package name...this will be the bug that needs to be fixed. In your log, I found this error... FATAL EXCEPTION: main 03-06 11:40:38.873 E/AndroidRuntime(15229): java.lang.NullPointerException 03-06 11:40:38.873 E/AndroidRuntime(15229): at android.app.ActivityThread.attach(ActivityThread.java:3618) It looks like you have a class called ActivityThread that has a NullPointerException on line 3618. If you add a breakpoint (double click on he left side of the editor where the line numbers are in Eclipse), and then you can hit that breakpoint and see which field/variable/etc. is null. Typically, you can use a simple if (foo != null) check...other times there is something bigger wrong. Let me know if you need help debugging your NPE. [android-developers] How to customize a permission for a service in Framework ?
Hi all, I want to customize a permission for a service in Framework. The service is also customized by me, the implement's mechanism is IPC (aidl) and boots with the device. The manifest.xml of APPs: application activity android:name=DefaultActivity android:label=@string/unknown intent-filter action android:name=android.intent.action.MAIN / category android:name=android.intent.category.LAUNCHER / /intent-filter /activity use-permissions android:name =com.android.permission.SIMCARD_AUTHENTICATION/use-permissions Who can help me ? Re: [android-developers] Re: can not visit the sdcard when add the android.uid.system
Thank you sir,I want to visit the file which is under the /system/lib,But at the same time,I also want to read the USB device. So what can i do ? 2010/11/5 Chris Stratton cs07...@gmail.com If the sdcard gets unmounted, any process with an open file handle to it gets killed. Letting the system process be killed was considered a bad thing. To avoid that, the system process (which is to say any system process) is not allowed to access the SD card. FYI, you probably will not be able to install your apk with the system uid on most secured devices, unless you are in possession of the system certificate for the devices on which you want to deploy. What exactly do you need to access in the /system folder? You do know it's mounted read-only, right? Technically, anything regarding the system folder is beyond the bounds of discussion of android-developers which is supposed to be confined to the SDK APIs. Re: [android-developers] Re: how to play a 8192*8192 image ?
Thank you ! I will have a try! 2010/6/28 Streets Of Boston flyingdutc...@gmail.com Then you need to tell them it is impossible. Ask them what the maximum resolution is of the output they desire. And i'm curious which output- device your clients have in mind if it needs a 8192x8192 resolution. Anyway, if it is an HDTV, more than 1920x1080 is not necessary. And if you hook up the phone to an output-device using HDMI, more than 1080p is not supported... If it is an Android phone, more than 854x480 is not necessary. They still can supply you with a 8192x8192 image, but for display you need to scale it down to the display resolution (BitmapFactory.Options.inSampleSize having a value greater than 1). Re: [android-developers] Re: how to play a 8192*8192 image ?
i want to paly a 8192*8192 image int a big TV screen,as a result such a big image is needed. 2010/6/25 Mike dg vinb...@gmail.com I doubt you have an 8192x8192 screen. So figure out what you re actually doing with the image and then only use as much as you need or all of it scaled to screen size. Thank you! That is a ~200MB image uncompressed (8192 x 8192 x 3 bytes), and you have 16MB to work with. The simplest option is to use a smaller image to start with. The next-simplest option is to scale the image, as youken suggests, though this will take some time. The option that keeps your size is to split the image into tiles, like Google Maps does, and show only a few tiles at a time. -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy)http://commonsware.com| http://github.com/commonsguyhttp://commonsware.com/blog|http://twitter.com/commonsguyhttp://github.com/commonsguyhttp://commonsware.com/blog%7Chttp://twitter.com/commonsguy _The Busy Coder's Guide to *Advanced* Android Development_ Version 1.6 Available! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Android Developers group. Re: [android-developers] how to add a dialog or a window in the map when click the marker ?
Thank you ! I wiil have a try right now. 2010/5/22 TreKing treking...@gmail.com On Fri, May 21, 2010 at 8:28 PM, xhy xhyg...@gmail.com wrote: Can you give me a sample ? Thank you ! I *could*, but I don't feel like it :P Really though, this is pretty straightforward: Step 1: create the layout you want to show as your popup. Step 2: when you want to show said popup (like on tapping an overlay), inflate it and use MapView.addChild() with the appropriate LayoutParameters to position it where you want. To get going you can even skip step one and just use a TextView with a simple message.
