I don't think it's worth wasting time with such people. I know how you feel...it's disgusting, yes, but I think most of us here are above all of that stuff. ARR's career track speaks for itself. I completely agree with u ichord Anish. On Sun, Oct 4, 2009 at 9:18 AM, ichord purev...@yahoo.com wrote: To me, if there was a relative weakness in ARR's compositions of late, it would be some of his dance oriented tracks.Papu, Latoo, Shano, etc. etc. Notice the word relative. Some of these songs did become quite popular and they are catchy, but for me, they represented a skippable track in the soundtrack. With Blue, I was quite afraid prior that there would be another Papu or Shano in the mix, a track that I would tap my foot to, but not really find much else to latch onto, hence another skipper. However, when I heard tracks like Chiggy, Aaj Dil, and especially Fiqrana, I was pleasantly surprised that ARR hit the right combo for me this time. About Fiqrana, for me, it's one of ARR's strongest dance/groove oriented tracks ever. It's got everything that I enjoy about tracks like these.incredible groove rhythm, sweet sound effects, seamless transitions, and to me most importantly, good melody and good chords. The chords and melody in this song really take it to another level IMO. When I hear this song, I get the same good feeling that I get when I hear Chaiya Chaiya. I'm not saying it's as good of a song as Chaiya, but the same elements are there to make for an incredibly enjoyable listening experience. Fiqrana totally energizes me, gets me motivated, pumps me up, but also has endearing melodic hooks which linger on much after in my mind. To me, that's keyit's not just another ordinary dance trackthe song has got some soul and depth too. Yaaa...Fiqrana! TOTALLY ROCKS!

I liked your style but at the same time got another notice which I missed before if you listen to original Viru dalai (2:13 to 2:30) and you stuff (2:41 to 2:58) the violene part is similar to the latest violene piece we are hearing in Rahman, and Anne Marie Calhoun in the link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEFBLRpawpcfeature=player_embedded# Arijit 2009/10/4 wiredbeats . wiredbe...@hotmail.com Dear Rahmaniacs! Firstly and As always : No disrespect. Only Respect. Original is king Secondly : Each time i post a mix i am concerned if the moderator is gonna approve it !. So far so good. Thank you Mr Moderator! Its time to remember another gem of a composition. Kannai Katti track from Iruvar has great lyrics and an amazingly simple arrangement. Its simply brilliant!.This song has the lyrics to power it and ofcouse the music to maintain the momentum. I think over years, some of these great tracks get buried in the noise that comes out often through the tamil and bollywood factory. My attempts in recent times has been to sort of remind the visitors to my blog on those tracks that do not deserve a reminder. One such track is this one – An ever green upbeat song with equally superb lyrics. It is all about being sensible! As a norm, i tried a version of my own here which i present. The thing about Rahman’s tracks is that there is usually a subtle increase in energy levels towards the end of the track. Perhaps because of the awesome layers he incorporates or the catchy hook that is looped many times using instruments and vocals. I tried a similar technique here with layers. I am sure you will find an increase in the energy levels of this mix as you listen to the end. I don't intend to tamper in ANYWAY to the original composition. I truly believe it is a very tough task to mix Rahman's tracks without getting anything wrong. Also that he himself is not against remixes 'if done well'. *I always try in that direction.* Hope you like it! After fiddling with Onkyo startup tests we finally got sound in the speakers!! The first song?? Luka Chuppi!! I insisted that this is the song the debuts from these speakers! Got this to play from the iPod The next step was to get the MIDI interface working to get studio quality input source from laptop (since i did not have a high end CD player). This was so frustrating and after a couple of hours got some instructions from a German website to drive the MIDI interface. It did not work no matter what and then all of a sudden we heard ARR singing KhwajajiiKhwaja! What a an exhilarating feeling and relief! It sounded so beautiful and this MIDI interface does wonders!! would recommend it to all! Yes, I understand your point Vishwesh and I totally agree with you. These sort of comments do arise from time to time and more often than not, the original author hardly reverts with any justifications on his earlier comments. So why do I, or the others keep responding to them? I can't speak for the others, but as far as I'm concerned, it's the love that I have for ARR and his music which prompts me to do so. Some call it possessiveness, some might think of it as a wasted effort. But I have always stand up for what I believe love, and I believe in ARR's music more than anything else in the world. Thus, if I have to respond to hundreds, even thousands of articles which bad-mouths ARR, I will still do so willingly. Yes, like you said it's better to keep quiet and ignore those mails, but I would never do so. If there's a speck of dust in your house, would you ignore it? Some might but I wouldn't. I would rather clean the speck of dust before it turns the whole house into a heap of rubbish. Likewise, I akin these mails to the speck of dust. I would rather speak up and gain the self-contentment of preventing them from contaminating ARR's music, than ignore the comments and develop a hatred towards all non-ARR fans as a result of it. And believe me, I have nothing against those who choose to ignore these junk mails. I know many think it's baseless to respond to such mails. That's totally your choice and you're not wrong in doing so. But I'm just saying that I would still respond to them no matter how baseless/unjustifiable/groundless it is, cos'...well, this is how I am and I'm not wrong either. --- On Sat, 10/3/09, || V i s h w e s h || vishws...@yahoo.com wrote: From: || V i s h w e s h || vishws...@yahoo.com Subject: Re: [arr] Re: Blue and some recent albums of ARR lacking soul To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Date: Saturday, October 3, 2009, 1:27 PM Well, believe me, they don't. [arr] Blue in LA, advance booking on!
http://www.planetradiocity.com/musicreporter/news.php?newscatid=1newsid=1503 Director Anthony D'Souza along with A.R. Rahman have set a camp in Los Angeles to get the mixing in place for their mega film Blue. The makers of the film, which is less than a fortnight away from its release, are leaving no stones unturned to lend an international feel to the product which is touted to be the costliest ever to come out of Indian shores. Says a source close to the project, “Blue is huge by all standards and with the kind of technical finesse it boasts of, there was no way that any cost would have been spared during it's post production. The makers didn't hesitate at all to process the film's mixing in LA. As we talk, Tony would already have completed a substantial part of the film's mixing. Rahman is known for being fascinated with the city of Los Angeles when it comes to recording and mixing of music. Even though he already has studios in Chennai and Mumbai, he is in the process of getting studios in Los Angeles (USA) and London (UK) as well. Since there is also an increase in his international assignments, it only makes sense for Rahman to have a worldwide presence through his studios. Coming back to Blue, the film is seeing an unprecedented excitement being built up around it. Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan does not have any account on Twitter. Both the Twitter accounts (and more if any) impersonating her are indeed fake accounts. This is confirmed from the reliable sources after reading the email included below. Moreover, logically and legally speaking, even if anyone sings anything for anyone in any movie they will have to abide themselves by the legal contracts and the agreements; and such work will not be made available into public by any means for any reason including public review and scrutiny unless it is released officially. I had few friends like these .. rahman copied this from that song.. guitar is from this song by sting listen closely you will find Timbaland's some beats here...and what not. This happens to all indian composers. Its as if western guys always create new stuff and we are all sitting here only to sample and copy!! You will find this mentality mostly in ignorant people and some people who totally dig hard rock music and are usually doped out. Don't bother. This group has some very intelligent and sensible bunch of people and that is enough to protect the integrity of his music. However, it is important to call spade a spade should such an unfortunate circumstance arrive, which i am dead sure will never happen..(the circumstance) Thumb rule is : Same beats = not a copy (mostly), same melody = copy. [image: ANTHONY DSOUZA] *ANTHONY DSOUZA* Director Anthony D'Souza along with A.R. Rahman have set camp in Los Angeles to get the mixing in place for their mega film BLUE. The makers of the film, which is less than a fortnight away from its release, are leaving no stones unturned to lend an international feel to the product which is touted to be the costliest ever to come out of Indian shores. *CHECK OUT: Why the short length of BLUE works in its favour!http://www.glamsham.com/movies/scoops/09/oct/03-why-the-short-length-of-blue-works-in-its-favour-100906.asp * Says a source close to the project, BLUE is huge by all standards and with the kind of technical finesse it boasts of, there was no way that any cost would have been spared during it's post production. The advance booking at numerous leading multiplexes has already opened, even though the film is more than 10 days away. -- regards, Vithur

Well, it's just a simple suggestion to keep this group tidier, cleaner. It's for the same speck of dust reasoning you gave, but in my way, cleaning that speck of dust means deleting that mail. ;-) Some agree with me on that, some don't, it's as simple as that. Also, I simply don't have time will to write thousands of replies, just because I love AR, which I absolutely do, as much as any Rahmaniac on this planet! I strongly feel that AR needs no defending... his years of quality work, unlimited creativity, astounding versatility, unbelievable consistency above all, his humble personality... all speaks for itself... But I'm just saying that I would still respond to them no matter how baseless/unjustifia ble/groundless it is, cos'...well, this is how I am and I'm not wrong either. --- On Sat, 10/3/09, || V i s h w e s h || vishws...@yahoo. com wrote: From: || V i s h w e s h || vishws...@yahoo. com Subject: Re: [arr] Re: Blue and some recent albums of ARR lacking soul To: arrahmanfans@ yahoogroups. com Date: Saturday, October 3, 2009, 1:27 PM Well, believe me, they don't. Re: [arr] With Fiqrana, ARR hits it perfectly!
Yeah, I too felt this is jus a fast pase song, but slowly i realised it has several layers in it, and i like the electric guitar in it. Fiqurana is my fav in BLue now . -- best regrards Logesh A

Amazing!! I wish to say one more word to all the fellow Rahmaniacs, please follow AR also interms of being human and understand the moral responsibility. Help others who are in need as much as possible. Spread love and tolerance to the mankind. If we a small community of AR fans can follow this we surely can establish peace on this earth. Vithur Bhai and his friends has set an example of being kind in his Food Distribution Campaign which is no less than showing up true dedication of a fan. Also please understand the moral responsibility towards your parents, respect them than going to the extremes of exhibiting the craze of being fans that can in anyways trouble your elders. Looking at AR we certainly need to learn respect elders and care for our parents, integrity towards the society. --- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, Vithur vith...@... wrote: Dear All, Today, we had the presence of a devoted Rahmaniac by name Santosh Kumar Pandey who had come all the way from Maharasthra to be part of our Food Distribution Event as well as meet us.
