Sorry , but I cannot reproduce it. Even the Analyze tool is working
correctly.
However I went through the code and cleaned it up, you may try the
result:

Fritz, would a debug output help if/when it happens?

No.
This would happen inside a regex match.

Re: [Assp-user] Another 1.8 anomaly

2010-12-16 Thread Sijmons, Michel

The black listed domain matching also fails in our ASSP 1.8.1.6(1.0.01)
installation.

It seems that it now is matching everyhere instead of at the end.

For example I have an entry @local in the file referenced at
blackListedDomains, and now mail from the following sender gets blocked:
this_is_removed@local-business-center.bounces.google.com .

Maybe the regex doing the matching has changed, for example the $ fell off?
Who knows? I did not have the time to look at the code yet.

The description of the blackListedDomains field still contains the following:

Note this matches the end of the address, so if you don't want to match
subdomains then include the @. Note that example.com would also match
spamexample.com but .example.com won't match example.com. a...@example.com will
match a...@example.com but won't match b...@example.com.

So either the description is incorrect or it should only match from the end.

Greetings,
Michel Sijmons

Just had a help desk call, complaining that a client wasn't able to send
email any more. Looking at the assp logs show:

l.clay...@somedomain.com to: skai...@somedomain.com [spam found] --
blacklisted domain '.cl'

I noticed that .cl is in the black list and it's also apart of the
clients name, .clayton

I've removed the offending black list entry, but thought someone would
want to know.

I see that 1.8.1.6(1.0.02) is available, I'd give that a shot.

I was mistaken, I'm running 1.0.01 at work and 1.0.02 at home.

I am about to upgrade to 1.8.1.5, but after seeing this want to go to
1.8.1.6 (1.0.04). Where can I get that exact version. All I see now is
1.8.1.7.

Thanks!
