I do not get that.

I am assuming that you mean that you did not understand my statement (if you
mean that you don't see this then ignore me please).

For messages that are from local senders outgoing, that fail attachment
tests, the stats are incremented for both Messages Passed and Messages
Blocked. This seems illogical to me.

Eg

Jan-22-07 11:03:39 192.168.0.130 [EMAIL PROTECTED] to:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] bad attachment (local/white):
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=file.exe

$Stats{locals} is incremented on the test of the header
$Stats{viri} is incremented on the bad attachment fail on the body

I think it also applies to whitelisted senders given what I make of the
code.

Simply, I think it would make more sense to increment the stats variables
$Stats{locals}, $Stats{whites} after successfully passing a message, not
during the header test. A quick look gives me the impression that
$Stats{noprocessing} does however work okay.

I only noticed this after a restart installing 1.2.7.1 (final) and had a run
of bad attachments straight away. I am sure that it has been the case for
quite some time and don't consider it critical in any way.

Regards,

Nick
