Re: [asterisk-dev] [BOUNTY] 3500 USD, ASTERISK-26935

2017-04-18 Thread Juris Breicis
Hi,

it appears we have found the underlying reason for these crashes.

We will spend a few days testing if a workaround yields positive results
and if so - will post details on how and why this crash appears. Please
consider the BOUNTY to be on hold for a time being.

[asterisk-dev] [BOUNTY] 3500 USD, ASTERISK-26935

2017-04-18 Thread Juris Breicis
Hi, everyone,

Long story short: we will give 3500 USD to a developer who is able to
provide a fix for the cause of asterisk crash as described in this bug
report: https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/ASTERISK-26935

Please, let me know what further details you need from our side if you
choose to proceed with this.

We expect the resulting patch to be submitted to the public code base in
the project.

Best regards,
Juris Breicis

[asterisk-dev] Have you seen me? "Alertpipe on channel X lost O_NONBLOCK?!!"

2017-04-18 Thread Sean Bright

Hi,

Could those of you on the list grep your error logs looking for the message:

lost O_NONBLOCK

(The full line would be "Alertpipe on channel X lost O_NONBLOCK?!!"
where "X" is a channel name). There is a code comment indicating that
this is "occasionally" a problem and I would like to determine how much
of a problem this really is in the wild.

Kind regards,
Sean

It would be a different underlying fix as the registrar in PJSIP is
actually doing things according to spec. The chan_sip implementation is
simpler and basic. This should indeed be filed as a bug[1] with
configuration and console output with SIP traffic.
