Hi I Have been asked to setup a virtual call center. the server will be hosted at the ISP, with the incoming lines for the local telco .. the calls from the incomming lines will then be forwarded to individual users directly or to other call centers .. Any suggestions on web mangment interface for asterisk / call center .. and needs to be open source .. Hi if i want to use sip client to connect to my asterisk pbx do i need to run a sip server ? If so can you point me in the direction of a good howto for asterisk and sip ... [asterisk-users] Problems with voice lag/delay
Hi I have setup Elastix to do some testing, and I have zoiper installed on two machines and two ip phones(Grandstream Budge Tone-100), no matter in what combination there is always a delay of voice between the ends. I have set all the devices to use PCMU codec all the devices are connected to the same switch (even tried another switch).. what else can cause this ?? what configuration should I check on asterisk ??? Hi Im very green to asterisk, and I have been asked if asterisk can be used to do remote control, like opening gates etc, say when the user dials a predefined number ... And what hardware is required ... We use it for some control, status checking, and also we use asterisk for overhead paging when certain alert situations occur. The hardware I'm using is Opto22 Snap ehternet brains. One of the models I use is the SNAP-B3000-ENET which can sometimes be found on Ebay. The hardware isn't cheap but they provide excellent documentation and software for free, and free training. They have a free linux developers kit which has, as an example program, a handy command line utility which I use with asterisk. If you just want to control a couple of digital points this hardware may be overkill, but it is cool stuff. Absolutely - if that MODEM happens to be an X100P clone - such as my ENF656-PCIG-MOPR. There are quite a few - and you can buy one still. It can do a lot more than answering and recording.
