I just got this froma customer who was having trouble connecting an Oudie to
B500. Looks like the cable pinout numbering is causing more problems and
 confusing everybody!

 I finally got it!

The pinouts on the Oudie cable were different than shown on their website!!

[Aus-soaring] End of an aera

2014-03-04 Thread Future Aviation
Hello all,

All good things eventually come to an end. The popular series of books by
Martin Simons

Sailplanes 1920 - 1945 (out of print)

Sailplanes 1945 - 1965 (two copies in stock)

Sailplanes 1965 - 2000 (out of print)

has been almost sold out and the publisher has advised that it will not be
reprinted.

We have only two copies of Sailplanes 1945 - 1965 left in stock. A single
German version
of Sailplanes 1965 - 2000 is also still available.

Please contact me off line if you are interested in the last remaining
copies.

Kind regards

Chris Eckey (ec...@internode.on.net)

PS: I have also one German version of Bernard's book Advanced Soaring Made
Easy in
  stock.

I'm interested to know more about the standard class 1000k out and
return record - 1000.86km in an Astir CS by G.J Vakkur on 8/4/77. As
if an Astir wasn't impressive enough, in April??
Does anyone know where or how it was done? Perhaps someone has the
relevant AG mag.
Having done some googling I find an account (Soaring the bald eagle
ridge) of a George Vakkur flying 1000k out and return on 7/4/77 in an
Astir CS in the wave in Pennsylvania, USA which seems like too much of
a coincidence to me.
