No, no, dear GMH Actually i installed the same 'SolaimanLipi' in both the Ubuntu system and SuSE system, from the same CD that i made for everyone's use, with all relevant OOo and Java and Keyboard Layout and Fonts and everything, even OOo Documentation. So, absolutely no question of version difference here. Maybe something related with the ICU libraries and their rendition in the OS, though i should not say anything, i am even less than ignorant in these areas. das - Take Surveys. Earn Cash. [Ankur-core] khanda-t in ODT Varying with OS
I am attaching one small ODT file here. That has a lot of 'khanda-ta', some of them I wrote with 'shift-8' and some of them came normally as they come when 'ta-hasanta' is followed by some letters like 'sa' or 'ka'. These 'khanda-ta'-s made with 'shift-8' are not showing in the file when I am opening with OOo in Ubuntu 6.06. But working fine when i am opening them in SuSE 10. And obviously the other problems are still there, like 'ra-ya-phala' and the 'matra' with the opening 'e-kar'. patanjali-c1.odt Description: application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text - Using Tomcat but need to do more? Re: [Ankur-core] khanda-t in ODT Varying with OS
Would it be possible for you to post the version of libicu that your system has ? Additionally, if you could print a PDF through OO.o, can you see if there are any differences in the .odt and .pdf :Sankarshan Here is the details about libicu*: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ ls /opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/libicu*.so.26.0.* /opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/libicudata.so.26.0.1.1 /opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/libicui18n.so.26.0.1 /opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/libicule.so.26.0.1.1 /opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/libicuuc.so.26.0.1 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ And obviously there are a lot of symbolic links to thse files. And, as you wanted it, i have already given the ODT file, the pdf of this file you can access at: http://www.saltlakesoft.com/dd-ts/sanskrit/patanjali-c1.pdf das - Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
