RE: Berner in Shelter

how could a dog like this end up roaming around and then in a shelter.
wonder who the breeder is. i would think they would want to know about him.
i actually might have a home for him.

This is a link to Animal Alliance of Belle Meade, NJ which is currently
caring for Teddy, an 8-mo-old male Berner. Hopefully a nearby List member
can check him out and help find a home for this gorgeous young lad.

If it were one of our pups and it ended up in a shelter we as its breeder
would be notified as our puppies are micro chipped when they leave with the
new owners. The chip is in our name so we can find out just how one of our
puppies ended up in a shelter and we could deal with it. Be it owner neglect
or the fact that pup just got out of the yard and run off.

Of course this would only take place if the shelter checked to see if the
dog was micro chipped.
