Re: [Blind-Computing] Microsoft Launches New Free Malware Scanner
Hi Al, This appears to me to be similar, if not a replacement for Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool. I can't imagine the need for both since the Malicious Software Removal Tool still comes with Windows Updates each month. Also, why hasn't Microsoft incorporated this into their security essentials? It would seem to me anything Microsoft developed should have been picked up by their MSE program? What am I missing? The program is called the Microsoft Safety Scanner. To use it, download the file from http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx and then run it on your PC. The app is portable, so doesn't need an installer. When you run it, it will analyze your computer and detect, and remove, many of the most prevalent viruses. Does anyone have a good recommendation of a good multimedia or burning program for burning cd's and DVD's that works with screen riders? Thanks. Don Risavy, jr. _ No virus found in this message.
