[Blind-Computing] Finding An Android List

2012-12-18 Thread Mark Torgerson
Hi
I deeply respect the guide lines for posting questions on this list. I
even tried to locate an address for the list moderator with no luck. So,
here it goes with my question.
I have a Samsung cell phone that is based on the android platform. I
would like to find a list similar to the blindcomputing list where I could
ask questions about the android system. Since this is not directly a
computer question, please feel free to contact me off list at:
m...@christiontraditions.info
 Thank you for your help.

God bless,
Mark

[Blind-Computing] SATA expansion cards

2012-12-18 Thread Alan Robbins
Mike's question to the group the other day prompted me to ask the
following. I have a new computer with 6 internal SATA plug ins. 5 of
these support SATA II and only 1 supports the faster SATA III. Is it
possible to plug an expansion card into the computer to gain more SATA
3 connections? My box does not have any external SATA plugs but does
have 2 external USB 3.0

I posted this in JAWS but had no response.

///
Hi all. I have XP home and 14.0.

In word, sometimes when I use the up or down arrow to read a line, I
hear, something like, 72 points or another number.
It seems to happen if there is a space before the sentence.
If I use control arrow I don't hear the point message.

How do you turn this feature off?

Another question.
I have had many strange issues with word. For example, it may not load
until I restart the computer.
Or, it may suggest starting up in safe mode.
Or, when reading by line, it may read the line twice.

Is there a way to search if something is corrupted.
Or, are there any suggestions on all the settings that are good with JAWS
users?.

Thanks for all of the help.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Finding An Android List

God bless,
Mark

Mike's question to the group the other day prompted me to ask the
following. I have a new computer with 6 internal SATA plug ins. 5 of
these support SATA II and only 1 supports the faster SATA III. Is it
possible to plug an expansion card into the computer to gain more SATA
3 connections? My box does not have any external SATA plugs but does
have 2 external USB 3.0

usually a dead silent lack of reply means no one out there understood or
has

a viable answer!

2nd, I would try the view menu and make sure your set to normal or at
worst print view and that the word window is maximized.

that's all I can think of,

I posted this in JAWS but had no response.

///

Or, are there any suggestions on all the settings that are good with
JAWS

users?.

Thanks for all of the help.

Rich

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Finding An Android List

God bless,
Mark

I get the impression that the list moderator would prefer that the
android topic be taken off list.
