Around 2 weeks ago, someone asked about burning audio files, and another
person told about starburn 12.1, and as the original person said, I also
 can't get it to download.

After I hit the download link, the run or save dialog box doesn't pop
up, even after alt + n. I use windows 7, and Ie 8. can anyone out there
tell me what I need to do to be able to install starburn 12.1?

Re: [Blind-Computing] wireless printer

2012-12-19 Thread Norman King
Hi.
I use a wireless all in one printer.
It is the hp officejet pro8600.
I have no problems.
Note, you will need sighted assistance to set it up as it is a touch screen
control panel.
Also I recommend setting the printer to use a static I p address because if
you restart the printer for any reason the ip address may change and then
the software on the computer will not print.
After it is set up though it works very well.
I also use it as a wireless scanner.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Finding An Android List

 Hi
I deeply respect the guide lines for posting questions on this list.
 I
even tried to locate an address for the list moderator with no luck. So,
here it goes with my question.
I have a Samsung cell phone that is based on the android platform. I
would like to find a list similar to the blindcomputing list where I
 could
ask questions about the android system. Since this is not directly a
computer question, please feel free to contact me off list at:
 m...@christiontraditions.info
 Thank you for your help.

 God bless,
 Mark

[Blind-Computing] Lost Sound

2012-12-19 Thread Mike B.
Hi All,

I was saving some files when all of the sudden I lost all sound through my
desktop speakers. I tried, with my wife's sighted help, to see if anything
was muted in the control panel / Sounds Audio Devices but, everything
looked normal to me. I went to my other computer via my KVM switch the
speakers work with that computer. I can't get any sounds to play from my
main computer at all! I am currently using my main computer with a USB
headset. Any advice or suggestions on what to check would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you all very much.
Take care.

2012-12-19 Thread Mike B.
Hi Again All,

My main computer is a dual boot system running XP Windows7. Well, I don't
have any sound with either operating system! The Windows7 won't even play
systems sounds through the USB headset but, the XP system does. Is it
possible the onboard soundcard died? Thanks much, take care.
