Hi,

I would like to know how to stop this on my wife's computer using
windows7 and outlook 2010. As Mike suggested, making a change in Jaws
verbosity might work, but my wife does not have or use Jaws.

She is frustrated when she highlight the email and it opens
automatically when in most cases, she wants to delete it.

Is there anything in option under file that could change this setting?

Any help will greatly be appreciated. Take care.

A better choice is www.startpage.com. They use the Google search engine,
but the pages are much friendlier for screen reader users. Also, they do
not track any of the search information, for those who cherish their
privacy. They offer both http and https searching. I was using the https
connections, but found that it was getting a bit slow, so I switched back
to using the http connection, and results are now returned in a flash.

The list is not a link but... well, a list. :) When I enter the add-ons
manager I still don't go exactly to the page but I just tab twice; first I
get search all add-ons and then list get add-ons; then I arrow down once
to get list extensions; that's the name for the list of installed add-ons;
after that I still tab once to get to the actual list of the add-ons. Dunno
about JAWS though; I use NVDA and it's pretty accessible with that; so
hopefully some JAWS users can still confirm if it works for them.

Hello friends, I urgently need your help please.

as you all may be aware I posted previusly a problem concerning
IE or any browser won't let me change my homepage from AVG
security search. I was told that it probably had to do with
some kind of settings in parental control and I went in there to
see if I could figure out what to do. Whilst in there, I was
prompted by Windows to set a password, less programs or persons
could have acces and pose some kind of a security risk which I
did and confirmed it in the box that followed. I created a
really simple password which I am sure to remember and when I
rebooted the machine I am locked out of Windows. I hear the
startup sound but gets the prompt to enter my password and it
never worked. So one problem lead me int another.

Do you have any idea as to how I can reset this or would I have
to do the dreaded reformat?

Hi
I had something simular happen with the passwords. Before I shut
down the computer, I found out that if I created another User account
with adminastrater password privilages The I could reset the password
on my original account from this second account. Perhaps you already
have a secount with administrator privilages?

God bless,

Do you have any idea as to how I can reset this or would I have to do the
dreaded reformat?

2013-01-26 Thread Steve Boodram
I did but there were technical information I needed clarification on hence
my asking.

To update you on same, I wish to thank all for their valuable information
and patience in helping me out.

I also wish to apologize for my late reply but was preoccupied with work and
did not come on the computer for some days.

I had someone came across who had a pair of working eyes and allowed him to
read all the emails.

Not sure what he did but got it working after about fifteen minutes. I
inquired of him what he did to solve the problem in the hope of reporting
the results to the list but he shrugged my inquiries and said that's okay
and soon left.

So I am clueless about what he did.

Nevertheless I am just happy my dilemma was solved and I have my laptop
working now.

Thanks again to everyone.

I don't kno how much help this may be, but you can use linux to reset
your windows password.

I hope this is of some help.

Hello. More than likely, you're going to end up needing to reformat.
If you created a password reset disk (which I assume you haven't),
you could easily reset your password. There are tools you can
download that claim to be able to hack your password, such as Offline
NT Password and Registry Editor, but they aren't very easy to use,
and you will probably need sighted assistance. With some sighted
help, I tried using this tool once, but was not successful.

Hi, everyone,

I’m having trouble trying to go back to IE 8. I has recently upgraded to IE 9
because my sister had set me up with a gmail account but I’m not using it now.
I really like IE 8 so much better.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks so much in advance.
